Nicole graduated from Queen’s University with a Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2011 and Ottawa University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics. She is certified with the Assistive Devices Program for mobility equipment and has completed an 8 month community development project in Tanzania through a grant she was awarded. Nicole has experience working in the community through homecare services, as well as at the Children’s Treatment Centre and school age program.
She currently works with clients with a variety of injuries and illnesses including, depression, PTSD, chronic pain and anxiety. She provides assessment and treatment related to pain management, return to work planning, mindfulness training, relaxation, support with activity planning, goal setting to assist with activation and using activities to improve mood and function. She has completed training in Prolonged Exposure Therapy, CBT and Best Practice Chronic Pain Assessment and Management. She is currently the Clinical Lead for Mental Health at CBI Edgewater.
